Much like the universe on the large and very vast scale (i.e., general relativity), so the universe on the small scale (i.e., quantum mechanics) does not neatly conform to the rules of classical physics. As such, it presents a set of rules that is counter-intuitive and difficult to understand for the human mind, as humans are accustomed to the world on a scale dominated by classical physics. What is Quantum Physics Anyway?

Simply put, Physics is the study of the Physical World.

Classical physics in today's terms is often referred to as Newtonian physics. This is the study of very large objects, essentially the behavior of planetary bodies and the effects of gravity on those bodies. Without Newton's knowledge man would never have walked on the moon.
